On behalf of the Parent Teacher Association, welcome to the 2013-2014 academic year. I am pleased to be the Graydon Sealy Secondary School Parent Teacher Association President and grateful to be working with a wonderful group of volunteers on our Executive Committee. These volunteers dedicate their time and expertise to promote academic, administrative, and community support to the students and families of the Graydon Sealy Secondary School . Sincere thanks to them for their service. I wish also to thank all of the teachers who have supported us throughout the years, we look forward to your continual support.
These areas will be addressed at various PTA meetings throughout the year. We invite you to take this opportunity to join us as we strive to meet the needs of all parents. We encourage you to utilize the calendar of events page, this can assist you of the time and place of these informative topics and teaching seminars along with various school events for the academic year 2013-2014.
This year I am asking for your time, your time is the most valuable this year. I believe as parents we all have hectic schedules, but I do respectfully ask that you find one way to be of assistance. I encourage you to become an active participant in the Graydon Sealy Secondary School by participating in the various PTA activities throughout the academic year. We can all help in some way, chair or join a subcommittee, you can join a committee that allows you to volunteer from home, attend meetings and share your great ideas, donate a prize toward upcoming meetings and support our fundraisers. PTA meetings are scheduled to be held on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

Given my philosophy that education is a partnership and by extension my insistence that one hand cannot clap, the website facilitates a range of activities that strengthen that partnership with numerous benefits accruing to the children, the most important stakeholder in this scenario.

success. In addition to the traditional channels of communication that have
been used by the school to relay information to parents and guardians, this
website now offers another avenue which could be accessed by most parents who
will now be able to share any concerns and seek solutions to some of the
challenges which confront their child or ward. In this regard I eagerly look
